Project Scope: 7 Screen Digital Cinema
Scope of Ventilation Services:
Each of the screen areas is serviced with Gas Fired ‘Flakt Woods’ Air Handling Unit Systems incorporated with a ‘Cylon’ control system. The Ventilation system delivers the conditioned air to the low-level displacement grilles to the underside of the screen while the return air is ducted directly back to the units from the rear of the cinema.
Heating is provided via a Gas Fired indirect burner in the AHU while cooling is catered for by means of a 2 stage coil system complete with condensers.
All other public and non-public areas are provided with untreated ventilation with A/C units serving the managers office and comms room. Ducted A/C units were utilised to maintain cooling for the digital projection area.
Other Services:
Gas services were incorporated to serve the AHU’s and the gas water heater with a ‘Slam-Shut’ Gas Detection system added as a safety precaution. The soils & Wastes included the supply and install of sanitary-ware and all services associated including mains and boosted water services.
