The re-development and upgrade of Treacy’s Hotel which included 57 bedrooms, two restaurants, a large bar and nightclub required Airconmech to work closely with the Design Consultants to generate a water-cooled air conditioning system which could be installed within the existing building to replace the current oil fired boiler system. The core value of the project was to achieve environmental efficiency and considerable Energy Cost Reductions for the client.
Airconmech Ltd. installed a water cooled system linked to a borehole system. The system is far more economical than the standard dry cooler and boiler systems. All the rooms are individually controlled and installed with slimline ducted units with the main BMS System installed in the Managers office. A further addition was the installation of window switches to cut power to the a/c when a window is open, thus saving more power.
